Parents are angry with the government due to delay in the admission process in CBSE schools
Parents are angry over the ongoing teacher recruitment process for CBSE schools notified by the Himachal Pradesh government. Several parents from the Junga area, including Seema Devi, Sunil Kumar, Danveer Sharma, Daulat Ram, Om Prakash, Rita Devi, Vandana Devi, Akash Wala, and Ramesh Chand, said the Sukhu government has taken a historic decision to convert 130 government schools into CBSE schools, but the delay in teacher recruitment is not conducive to the future of the schools.
Parents say that the government conducted a screening test for teachers in CBSE schools and announced the results a month ago. However, the government has not taken any effective steps to recruit teachers, leaving parents worried about their children’s futures. It’s worth noting that a significant number of parents have removed their children from private schools and enrolled them in government CBSE schools. Parents had hoped that their children would now receive a high-quality education and a competitive environment in government schools.
Parents say that when the government itself had announced that only qualified and efficient teachers would be appointed in CBSE schools, then why is this process not being completed in a timely manner and the future of the children should not become a victim of any administrative delay.
Many parents said that if teachers are not appointed in government CBSE schools on time, they will have to get their children admitted to private schools again.
On the other hand, teachers who achieved excellent marks in the screening test are eagerly awaiting new appointments in CBSE schools. The teaching community also insists that appointments in CBSE schools should be made on the basis of merit. Political pressure and nepotism should not be allowed to hinder teacher appointments.
Parents have demanded that the government complete the merit-based teacher recruitment process for CBSE schools without further delay, so that students’ education is not affected and parents’ confidence is maintained. They said the government should prioritize children’s futures by making immediate decisions on the sensitive issue of education.
