Eye check-up will now be done with modern machines in Junga

Patients at Junga Hospital no longer have to travel to Shimla for eye exams and diagnosis of vision-related problems. Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has donated state-of-the-art ophthalmic equipment to Junga Hospital as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. With the introduction of these modern facilities, residents of Junga and surrounding panchayats will have access to better eye exams and treatment facilities locally.
The bank has provided the hospital with several modern equipment, including a slit lamp biomicroscope, a motorized table, an autorefractometer, a trial lens set, a streak retinoscope, and an ophthalmic operating table. These equipment were formally inaugurated by District Council members Khush Vikram Sen and Prithvi Vikram Sen.
On this occasion, Dr. Rakesh Goyal, Block Medical Officer, Mashobra, expressed his gratitude to the officials of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank for providing modern eye equipment to Junga Hospital. He said that the availability of such modern facilities in a rural hospital is a significant achievement for the residents of the area.
Dr. Garima, an ophthalmologist at Junga Hospital, stated that with the new equipment, eye examinations, diagnosis of vision problems, and necessary treatment can be performed more effectively. She added that vision testing, eyeglass prescriptions, and early detection of problems like cataracts will now be possible locally at the hospital. Previously, many patients had to be referred to DDU Shimla for eyeglass prescriptions or similar tests.
He said that the availability of modern equipment will save patients and their families time and travel expenses, while providing special facilities to the elderly and those in rural areas. This will also strengthen eye care services at Junga Hospital.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank official Sachin said that the bank is continuously making efforts to provide better health facilities to the needy sections through CSR activities and bring positive change in the living standards of the local community.
On this occasion, Pediatrician Dr. Prashant Sharma, other medical and paramedical staff of the hospital and officials of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank were present.
