Himachal Pradesh Revises Land Record Fees to Boost Digital Services

In a move aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure and improving governance, the Himachal Pradesh Government has announced a hike in fees for accessing digital land records and revenue-related documents. The revised charges, effective from a recent Revenue Department notification, reflect a 15–20% increase across various services.

Key changes include:

  • Tatima, Jamabandi, and Masabi copies will now cost ₹20 per page plus GST—double the previous rate.
  • Digital land records from the e-Him Bhoomi portal will be priced at ₹15 per copy plus GST, up from ₹10.
  • Public certificates such as bonafide, OBC, and ST will now cost ₹24 each, including GST.
  • Land transaction registrations under Book-1 have risen from ₹350 to ₹590, while Books 3 and 4 are now set at ₹354.

Additionally, the government has updated the revenue-sharing model for service fees. Previously, all collected funds went to the Deputy Commissioner’s E-Governance Committee. Now, 10% will be allocated to the Directorate of Land Records, with the remaining 90% retained by the DC’s committee.

This is the first fee revision in several years, and officials say it’s designed to support the state’s evolving digital ecosystem and ensure better management of land records.
