Shoolini University Breaks into Global Top 100 for Sustainability and Innovation
In a proud moment for Indian higher education, Shoolini University has made its debut in the Top 100 global universities in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, securing the 96th position out of 2,318 institutions worldwide. This marks a significant leap for the university, which improved its score from 86.7 to 89.6 in just one year.
The rankings assess universities based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Shoolini stood out in several key areas:
- #1 in India and #38 globally for Climate Action (SDG 13)
- #4 in India and #21 globally for Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7)
- #3 in India and #22 globally for Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6)
- #3 in India and #95 globally for Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12)
- Joint #1 in India for Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17)
The university also earned recognition in Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), ranking 10th in India.
Leaders at Shoolini celebrated the achievement:

- Pro Chancellor Vishal Anand emphasized its growing global presence.
- Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla credited students, faculty, and researchers for driving innovation and solving real-world challenges.
Adding to its accolades, Shoolini was ranked 4th among Indian institutions in the U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings, trailing only IISc Bangalore, IIT Madras, and TIFR Mumbai, with a global rank of 667.
