Despite Congress rule in Kasupanti for 25 years, development is negligible : Khush Vikram Sen
Despite the Congress party’s continuous representation in the government in the Kasupanti constituency for the past 25 years, the roads in this constituency are in a deplorable condition. Hospitals lack doctors, schools lack adequate staff, and the area’s development is negligible. This was stated by Raja Khush Vikram Sen, the BJP-supported Zila Parishad candidate from Chamiyana ward, while addressing street corner meetings in Shaloth, Thund, Dhali Bagda, Shilli, Trahai, Nariga, Nalta, Batola, Peeran Devthi, and Pajal during his election campaign.
He stated that his primary objective is the all-round development of the young generation. If elected to the District Council, he will strive to open libraries in rural areas and connect youth through sports, so that youth can stay away from addiction and use their youthful potential to contribute constructively to the development of society and the nation. He stated that libraries in rural areas are crucial so that young people from rural areas can enhance their knowledge in libraries and participate in competitive examinations. He stated that the Congress Party has not taken any concrete steps in this direction in the past 25 years.
Khush Vikram Sen expressed regret that despite 79 years of independence, the 12 panchayats of the Junga region remain extremely backward, especially in the field of education. Except for Koti and Junga, science and commerce are not taught in any of the schools in these 12 panchayats. Koti, the Assembly’s only college, also lacks science. As a result, only two percent of students from this region participate in competitive examinations. He said that it is a matter of concern that for the past two decades, no youth from this region has been able to reach a high position in any department.
He stated that his ancestors had centuries-old ties to the former Keonthal princely state. He assured that if he received the blessings of the people of Keonthal’s 17 panchayats in the election, he would not hesitate to convey the region’s voice to the government. However, he quipped that any elected District Council member had never addressed their constituency after winning.
On this occasion, Shimla District BJP spokesperson Jitendra Bhotka, former head Attar Singh Thakur, Deva Harinand, Deva Narendra Sharma and Surendra Sodhi also sought public support in favor of Khush Vikram Sen.
Many dignitaries including Pritam Singh Thakur, former head Daya Ram Verma, Daulat Ram Verma, Jabar Singh Thakur, soldier KD Sharma, Prem Das Sharma, Hans Raj Verma, Chunni Lal Thakur, Khajan Singh Verma were present in the program.
