Meritorious students were honored at the annual function in Balg School

The Government Senior Secondary School, Balg, celebrated its annual prize distribution ceremony with great pomp and show on Wednesday. The ceremony was marked by great enthusiasm among both children and teachers. From early morning, the students were eagerly awaiting their awards. Sitaram Pathik, a retired officer from the Himachal Road Transport Corporation, attended as the chief guest and inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Retired lecturer Pushpa Shoshta Vashisht was present as the guest of honor. On this occasion, the school children dazzled the audience present in the pandal with their march past and juddo performances. The children mesmerized the audience with their colorful cultural programs, especially the Pahari Naati.
Chief guest Sita Ram Pathik, in his address, stated that the annual function is a reflection of any educational institution’s achievements, rewarding meritorious students and inspiring others to pursue their goals. He encouraged students to always strive forward in life, showcase their talents in every field, and stay away from addiction and pursue a bright future.
On this occasion, he rewarded the students who achieved excellent positions in academic, cultural, sports and other activities. In which Aryan Pandey was rewarded for being selected for the national level competition in Judo. Apart from this, Sonakshi was rewarded for securing first position in 6th class, Pragya in 7th, Navya in 8th, Hrithik in 9th, Sneha in 10th, Akanksha in 11th and Sneha in 12th were rewarded for securing first position.
Principal Rameshchandra Sharma welcomed the chief guest and presented the school’s annual report, sharing the school’s various achievements throughout the year. SMC President Promila Pandey expressed her gratitude to those who attended the event.
Prominent personalities of the area including Devi Dutt Sharma, Deputy Pradhan of the local Panchayat Rajesh Verma, Hari Dutt Sharma along with teachers, parents, local people and school children were present in large numbers in the program.
