Nearly 2,000 Aspirants Move Closer to Joining Himachal Police Force

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has taken a major step forward in its recruitment drive for 1,088 police constable positions. Following the written exam held on June 15, which saw nearly 16,000 hopefuls across the state, the Commission has now released the results.

Out of the thousands who appeared, 1,964 candidates have successfully cleared the written test and are now headed to the next phase—document verification. Among them, 1,343 candidates are vying for 708 male constable posts, while 621 are in the running for 380 female constable positions.

HPPSC will soon announce the schedule for document verification. In the meantime, candidates can check the detailed results, including roll numbers of those shortlisted, on the Commission’s official website. For any queries, the Commission’s office remains open for assistance.

An interesting aspect of the verification process is the additional marks awarded for National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificates. Candidates with an NCC ‘C’ certificate will earn 4 extra marks, ‘B’ certificate holders will get 2, and those with an ‘A’ certificate will receive 1 mark. However, only the highest certificate will be considered if a candidate holds more than one.

The final merit list will be based on a combination of written exam scores, physical attributes like height, and NCC-related marks—ensuring a well-rounded selection process for the future constables of Himachal Pradesh.
