Water is a precious gift of nature, Conservation is the responsibility of all of us
With the holy blessings of the most revered Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and the esteemed Nirankari Rajpita Ramit Ji, the golden morning of 23 February 2025 brought a message of a new awakening and divine light of service under which the third phase of ‘Clean Water, Clean Mind’ of the ‘Amrit Project’ was organized across the world and along with that a huge satsang program was also organized at Ground No. 8 in Delhi.
Under the aegis of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the social wing of Sant Nirankari Mission, programmes were also organized in various areas of Shimla today to mark the Amrit Project, in which natural sources of water were cleaned near Shiv Body in Tutu, Krishna Nagar, Dengue Mata Mandir in Sanjauli, Razhana in New Shimla and Bemloi, in which volunteers of Sevadal and Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation participated.
Giving information, Shri Joginder Sukhija, Secretary and Social Welfare Incharge of Sant Nirankari Mandal, said that all safety standards were fully followed during the ‘Amrit Project’ project organized across the country. Special participation of youth was the main basis of this campaign. He also informed that this campaign will not be for just one day, but will continue every month for the cleanliness of various ghats and water sources.
This holy campaign was organised under the aegis of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, the social wing of Sant Nirankari Mission, taking inspiration from the eternal teachings of Pujya Baba Hardev Singh Ji. This year too, like before, this effort was given a more comprehensive form by declaring ‘Aao Sawaren, Yamuna Kinare’.
At more than 1650 locations in 27 states and union territories, more than 10 lakh service-minded volunteers together made this pious campaign a reality. This scene was not limited to mere natural cleanliness, but became a beautiful symbol of a spiritual journey to cleanse and purify the inner soul. The dedicated presence of each devotee was proof of the fact that when there is a divine confluence of love, service and harmony, then nature too experiences new life.
Satguru Mata Ji highlighted the importance of water and explained that water is like Amrit, which nature has given us as the most important gift of life. Its cleanliness and conservation should not be just a responsibility but our natural habit. We often unknowingly promote pollution by throwing waste and dirt into water sources or other places, which harms the environment. Inspired by this thought, a social initiative like ‘Project Amrit’ has been started, which is an important effort to spread awareness about water conservation and cleanliness.
This Punit Seva Abhiyan dedicated to the birth anniversary of Baba Hardev Singh Ji gave every saint an opportunity to contribute towards water conservation. This initiative not only focused on the cleanliness of ghats and water sources, but also encouraged water saving through small habits at home so that water is respected and this precious resource can be preserved for future generations.
Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation (SNCF) was awarded the prestigious Water Conservation Initiative NGO of the Year 2025 Award by the Global Energy and Environment Foundation (GEEF) for playing a positive and active role in water conservation as a part of environmental protection. This proud recognition is a symbol of SNCF’s relentless dedication towards Project AMRUT – Clean Water, Clean Mind and its various water conservation and sanitation initiatives. Undoubtedly, the excellent efforts made by SNCF in the purity and sustainable conservation of water resources are playing a vital role in leading the society towards a clean, healthy and prosperous future.
