Old guarantees were not fulfilled, Priyanka came again to cheat: Anurag Thakur
BJP candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha and Union Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, while speaking about Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi’s rally in Una, said that Priyanka Gandhi announced many new guarantees from the stage here, but why does she not answer why the old guarantees have not been fulfilled yet? Priyanka Gandhi has come to cheat the people of Himachal again without fulfilling the old guarantees. Sukhu and Rahul Gandhi got tired of giving false guarantees, so now they have sent Priyanka Gandhi to cheat the people of Himachal again. The mothers and sisters of Hamirpur and Himachal were waiting with great hope that perhaps Priyanka Gandhi would say something about her promise of ₹ 1500 per month made 16 months ago, but Priyanka Gandhi did not say anything on that and handed over a list of new false promises. The people who have been feeling cheated for 16 months are now angry and are going to vote on June 1 to wipe out the Congress from Himachal.
Shri Anurag Thakur said these things today during a dozen public meetings held in Gagret, Haroli, Una and Kutlehad assembly constituencies and during a conversation with media persons. In his public meetings, Shri Anurag Thakur presented the account of the development work done by the Modi government and himself and also presented the failures of the Congress before the people.
Shri Anurag Thakur said that Congress wants to grab power by any means. Once they come to power, they have no concern for the public. Himachal Pradesh has been suffering from this for the last 16 months. The same Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi had come to Himachal 16 months ago during the assembly elections and made big announcements and guarantees, but not even one of them has been fulfilled yet. Now at the time of Lok Sabha elections, these people are again engaged in election campaigning by resorting to the same lies. This is the irony of Congress and its leaders that even after 75 years of independence, these people consider the public to be fools. They think that if they say anything to the public, they will get convinced and vote for them. This is the reason that after the crushing defeat of 2014 and 2019, these people are now going to be reduced to less than 40 seats in 2024.
Shri Anurag Thakur further said, “Priyanka Gandhi, who gave the slogan ‘Larki Hun, Lad Sakti Hun’, does not see the atrocities on mothers and sisters in Sandeshkhali, Bengal. Priyanka Gandhi does not see the daughter of her own worker being strangled by a brutal man in Karnataka because vote bank politics comes in the way. She does not see the harassment of a woman MP by her colleagues because it does not fit in her narrative. These are such leaders who do selective politics even on atrocities against women. The country knows this, that is why it is rejecting them again and again. Priyanka Gandhi should now change her slogan from ‘Larki Hun Lad Sakti Hun’ to ‘Larki Hun Lekin Lad Nahi Sakti Hun’.”
Shri Anurag Thakur further said that in the last 10 years, Modi Ji has given a new dimension to women empowerment. Modi Ji has passed the historic Nari Shakti Vandan Act and has made provision for 33% reservation for mothers and sisters in the legislatures of the country. Earlier, when Dhumal Ji was the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, he had given 50% reservation to mothers and sisters in Panchayati Raj Institutions. 25% reservation for women is also applicable in the organization of Bharatiya Janata Party. This shows how much emphasis the Bharatiya Janata Party gives on women empowerment. Today Modi Ji has made a poor tribal woman the President of the country. For the last 10 years, the Finance Minister of the country is a woman, under whose guidance I have also got the opportunity to work. Not only this, our mothers and sisters have also got the biggest benefit of the public welfare schemes of the Modi government. Women have the ownership rights of more than 50% of the four crore houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Apart from this, Modi Ji has given freedom from smoke to our rural mothers and sisters by giving 11 crore free LPG connections. By providing 13 crore tap water connections and 12 crore toilets, Modi ji has made the lives of mothers and sisters easy and safe. If today’s India has become the first country to reach the South Pole of the Moon, then the hard work of our women scientists is also behind it. Today India has the highest number of women pilots in the world. Today our daughters have the power to send the enemies to the graveyard with AK-47. All these changes have been possible only under the Modi government
