No white Christmas in Shimla, between December 24 and 31 about 5 lakh tourists are expected to reach Shimla

Sunshine with light clouds in the sky greeted the people at most of the tourist destinations in Himachal .Holidaymakers have already started descending on tourist resorts across the state with the hope of white New Year. Tourist from neighboring states have started arriving to the Himachal. As per Shimla DSP Kamal Verma it is projected that around 10 thousand vehicles will arrive daily in Himachal till new year. Due to night curfew in neighboring states because of Omicron people are coming to Shimla to celebrate new year. Himachal Tourism Development Corporation said that between December 24 and 31, about 5 lakh tourists are expected to reach Shimla. By the end of November, 47 lakh tourists reached Shimla and this number is increasing now. Kashyap said that it is expected that by December 31 this year, this figure of tourists in Shimla will cross 55 lakhs.
