He called for meaningful efforts to integrate the country’s ancient knowledge traditions with modern education in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy-2020.
Highlighting the employment challenges facing the youth, the Governor urged the University to promote skill-based education, entrepreneurship and the start-up ecosystem through incubation centres, industry-academia partnerships and internship programmes, enabling students to become job creators rather than job seekers.
He also stressed the importance of research and awareness in areas such as environmental protection, climate change, water conservation, waste management and sustainable development. Shri Gupta called for strengthening online education, virtual classrooms, digital libraries and the use of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing to make education more accessible and effective.
