A landslide in Fenevati has caused a house to collapse, threatening to collapse
Rains in the past few days have caused a landslide near Fanevati village on the Dublu-Junga road, causing a collapse. Considering the seriousness of the situation, District Council Member, Chamiyana Ward, Khush Vikram Sen, along with Village Panchayat Janedghat Pradhan Suchita Anand, Public Works Department officials, and local villagers, conducted a joint inspection of the site.
During the inspection, the threat posed by landslides to local residents’ homes was assessed. A happy Vikram Sen urged Public Works Department officials to immediately take safety measures at the affected site and begin the necessary work quickly to find a permanent solution.
He said that the Dublu-Junga road is a lifeline for the region’s farmers, students, patients, and the general public. Last year, due to heavy rains, the road was closed for more than 10 days, causing significant inconvenience to the people. This road is the primary and only connecting many villages in the region to the capital, Shimla. Maintaining smooth traffic is crucial.
A happy Vikram Sen stated that he is coordinating with the government and relevant departments on this important public interest issue and will continue to make every effort to ensure the safety of the affected people and a permanent solution to the road. He urged the government and the Public Works Department to take immediate action to provide relief to the residents.
