Foundation days of AP and Mizoram at Raj Bhawan Shimla

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla chaired the felicitation ceremony on the foundation day of the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram organized at Raj Bhavan today. He honored the citizens of these states living in Himachal Pradesh by gifting Himachali caps, and shawls and had a detailed discussion with them on the culture, heritage, customs, and high traditions of the respective states. Lady Governor and Chairperson of the State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section, Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion.

The Governor said that such programs were being organized to realize the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ to inculcate a spirit of fraternity and brotherhood. He said that every state has its own diverse culture and this diversity is the strength of India. Exposures to cultures, traditions, and practices of different states will further enhance understanding and bonding between the states.

A short film on the heritage towns, monuments, and culture of the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram was also displayed on the occasion. Messages from the Governors of both the states were also broadcast.

On this occasion, citizens of these states also shared their experiences.

Secretary to the Governor, Rajesh Sharma presented the vote of thanks.
