45 bus passengers stranded in snowfall in Chamba

A private bus carrying 45 passengers got stranded since yesterday on mounted heavy snowfall near Jot in Chamba district of Himachal being rescued by the  district rescue response team sent to evacuate from the spot state disaster management authority spokesperson informed here today. 
Spokesperson of State Disaster Management Authority Sudesh Mokta said that New prem bus service has been struck near Jot due to heavy snowfall there are around 45 passengers on the side of the bus. Police teams have been dispatched to the spot to rescue passengers. He said that the district emergency operation centre has informed the matter to police and they are reaching on spot and working under process to clear the road. High reaches of Himachal Pradesh have experienced heavy snowfall since the last two days and an advisory has been issued by the state administration to people to avoid travel in the snowbound areas if not necessary.
