Cold Wave Hits North India: Himachal Braces for More Snow and Rain
North India, including Himachal Pradesh, is currently in the grip of a cold wave. Over the past 24 hours, various parts of the state have experienced light rain and snowfall, while some areas remained cloudy throughout the day. The Meteorological Department predicts light rain and snowfall in the higher regions and nearby areas from January 20 to 21. Additionally, light to moderate rain and snowfall are expected in many parts of the state on January 22 and 23, especially in higher regions. The weather is expected to clear up from January 24.
Bilaspur Records Highest Temperature
In the past 24 hours, Bilaspur recorded the highest temperature in the state at 23.2°C, with a minimum temperature of 9.3°C. Tabo in the Spiti Valley was the coldest, with a minimum temperature of -5.4°C and a maximum of 4.0°C. Other recorded minimum temperatures include Shimla at 8.6°C, Manali at 0.4°C, Keylong at -4.0°C, Bharmour at 5.8°C, Una at 4.9°C, Mandi at 10.1°C, and Paonta Sahib at 10.0°C.
