CM Sukhu & Governor Shukla felicitates people of Himachal on Maha Shivratri festival

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has felicitated the people of the state on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

Chief Minister said that from the time immemorial people have been celebrating the Shivratri festivity with great enthusiasm and fervor and as Himachal Pradesh was known as the abode of Lord Shiva, the Shivratri Mahotsav celebrated at various places in the state have their own significance. He hoped that the Shivratri fair would go a long way in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla extended his greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri.

In his message, the Governor said that Maha Shivratri was a festival of spiritual strength, self-discipline, and devotion. Himachal Pradesh also known as “Dev Bhoomi,” is a home to many sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, making this festival even more special for the people of the State.

He urged the people to celebrate the Shivratri festival with religious fervour and enthusiasm while praying for the peace, prosperity and development of the State.
