A Warm Welcome for BJP National President J.P. Nadda in Chamba

On his arrival in Chamba, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Jagat Prakash Nadda received a warm welcome from BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, MP Rajeev Bhardwaj, MLAs Vipin Parmar, Hansraj, Janak Raj, MP Harsh Mahajan, all BJP legislators, office bearers, and party workers.

Dr. Rajeev Bindal informed that due to bad weather, the National President’s helicopter could not take off, so he had to travel to Chamba by road, which caused a delay. As a result, J.P. Nadda could not address the workers during the rally.

Before his arrival, senior BJP leaders addressed the rally in Chamba. While addressing the rally, Dr. Rajeev Bindal said that it is a matter of pride for all BJP workers in Chamba to welcome the son of Himachal and Union Minister and National President Jagat Prakash Nadda on this sacred land.

He criticized the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, saying it is dragging the state backward, while the BJP’s central leadership, including PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and J.P. Nadda himself, are leaving no stone unturned for the state’s progress.

Himachal Pradesh receives over ₹11,000 crore annually from the Centre, which contributes to both salaries and development. But the Congress government, he claimed, is only burdening the public—be it talks of a toilet tax, luxury tax in buses, charging ₹240 for a cooker permit, investigating samosas, or the latest move of reducing minimum animal transport fares to just ₹5–10. According to him, the current government is indifferent to the suffering of Himachal’s people.

On the occasion, J.P. Nadda inquired about the well-being of all workers and thanked all leaders and workers for the warm welcome. He emphasized that Himachal Pradesh is the land of gods (Devbhoomi), and Chamba is a sacred place of pilgrimage.

He added that the BJP is a party driven by ideology. Currently, BJP has 240 Members in the Lok Sabha, over 98 in the Rajya Sabha, and more than 1,600 MLAs across India. There are 13 states with pure BJP governments and NDA governments in 7 others. Thanks to the contribution of millions of workers, the BJP has become the most widely followed ideologically-driven party in the country. Over 13.5 crore people are associated with BJP today, with more than 10 lakh active workers and booth presidents at 6 lakh booths across India.
