Himachal Class 12 Results Bring Cheers Across the State
There was a wave of relief and celebration across Himachal Pradesh on Monday as the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) announced the Class 12 annual examination results. With an impressive overall pass percentage of 92.02%, the results reflected the hard work and determination of students from across the state.
This year, 81,109 students appeared for the examination, and 74,637 of them cleared it successfully. The board reported a total pass percentage of 92.20%. Out of 81,417 students who had registered, 308 were absent. While the majority celebrated their success, 3,352 students could not pass the exams, and 3,071 were placed in the compartment category, giving them another chance to improve their scores.
The Science stream witnessed outstanding performances. Saila Kashyap of Newla School, Chhatri, emerged as the state topper with an exceptional 99% score. The second position was jointly secured by Sanchita Dhiman and Kanshi Sharma, both scoring 98.6%. Tamanna Sharma, Nitin Kumar, and Vaishali Thakur shared the third position, making it a close and competitive year.
In the Arts stream, Anshit Kumar from PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Bhawarna (Kangra district) topped the chart with an impressive 99.2%. Arushi from Government Senior Secondary School, Kanger Dharyar in Sirmaur claimed second place with 99%. Shamya Barjatya of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Dari in Kangra secured third position with 98.8%, while Gauri Sharma from Government Senior Secondary School, Jakatkhana in Bilaspur followed closely in fourth place with 98.6%.

Meanwhile, Anjali and Muskan from Government Girls School, Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra shared the second position with 97.8%, adding to the list of proud achievers.
Alongside the results, HPBOSE has announced a significant step toward digital transformation. The board is preparing to link Class 10 and 12 certificates with Aadhaar numbers. This move aims to enhance document security and make it easier for students to obtain duplicate certificates when needed.
Once the system is in place, students will be able to download their certificates online from the comfort of their homes after Aadhaar linking. The initiative is expected to reduce visits to board offices and curb the circulation of fake certificates. In cases where certificates are lost or damaged, duplicates can be issued quickly through the online portal.
Students will have the choice of receiving their certificates in digital (PDF) format or as hard copies. Digital certificates can be downloaded instantly, while hard copies will be delivered to the address provided by the applicant. Separate charges will apply for each option.
To ensure fair and timely evaluation, the board had set up 41 evaluation centres across Himachal Pradesh, engaging nearly 5,000 teachers in checking answer sheets for both Class 10 and Class 12 examinations—a massive effort that played a key role in delivering results on time.
