BJP leaders of unsuccessfully trying to mislead the people: Sanjay Awasthi
State Congress Working President Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi has accused the BJP leaders of unsuccessfully trying to mislead the people of the state by spreading false rumours. He has said that the BJP is not going to get any political benefit from this, because the people of the state have completely rejected them. They should learn a lesson from the results of the assembly by-elections and should fully cooperate with the government in the development of the state.
Awasthi, while criticising former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and State President Rajiv Bindal over their statements, said that they are trying unsuccessfully to tarnish the image of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu by telling lies after lies, whereas in the State Assembly bye-elections, people have put their stamp of approval on their vision of public welfare and development.
Sanjay Awasthi has said that the previous BJP government left no stone unturned in ruining the state’s economy. The Congress government inherited a debt of more than 70 thousand crores and liabilities of more than 10 thousand crores. Despite this, the Congress government is fulfilling all its responsibilities.
Last year, the state government provided full help to all the people affected by the natural calamity in the state with its limited resources. Despite not getting any special financial help from the central government, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu increased the assistance amount in the disaster relief manual by establishing a relief fund of 4500 crores and distributed cash assistance to the affected families. Similarly, all the government property, roads, bridges and buildings that were damaged were also rebuilt on a war footing.
Awasthi said that the Congress government has fulfilled the guarantee of OPS to the employees and Samman Sahayata amount of Rs. 1500 to women. He said that the Congress government is completely dedicated towards public welfare. BJP cannot make political gains out of this. He said that the BJP leaders of the state should cooperate with the state government and help in getting financial help from the center for the state.
