Lions Club Shimla Serves Breakfast and Lunch to Over 1,200 Patients and Attendants at IGMC

In a heartwarming initiative reflecting its commitment to humanitarian service, Lions Club Shimla served breakfast and lunch to over 1,200 patients and their attendants at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, on Friday under its “Food for Hunger” service project.

Lion Prof. P. S. Panwar was the Project Chairperson for the initiative. Members of the club served meals to patients visiting the hospital for treatment and their attendants, demonstrating compassion, social responsibility and a strong commitment to serving humanity.

Area Leader Lion Manmohan Verma said that providing food to needy and underprivileged people is one of the club’s important humanitarian initiatives. He reaffirmed the club’s commitment to continuing such service activities for the welfare of society.

Speaking on the occasion, Club Secretary Lion Dr. Daleep Sharma said that helping the needy, underprivileged and those facing difficult circumstances remains one of the key humanitarian commitments of Lions Club Shimla. He emphasised that providing food to patients and their attendants was not merely a service activity but also an expression of care, compassion and human solidarity.

Patients and attendants who benefited from the initiative appreciated the club’s efforts and expressed their gratitude. Lions Club Shimla reiterated its resolve to continue undertaking humanitarian and public welfare initiatives to support the needy and serve the community.
