Shimla Chandigarh National Highway -5 shut down for vehicular traffic 

Hindustan Tibet National Highway -5 between Dharmpur and Shimla is closed for vehicular traffic after a landslide near Shimla and caving-in of the road near Chakimod between Kummarhati Dharmpur in Solan district today.

, National Highway No.5 has been completely closed to traffic due to a landslide near Sonu Bungalow between Taradevi to Shodhi. today around 1935 hrs. 

According to the Police control room, Shimla Police post staff from Shodhi was on the spot. Heavy machinery is deployed to open the road. 

Earlier on Friday vehicular traffic was diverted via Kummarhati to Nahan-Panchkulua and between Chandigarh- Nalagarh-Kunihar& Shimla for heavy vehicles and Solan- Kummarhati Dharmpur for light vehicles.

Vehicular traffic was opened on Wednesday between Dharmpur to Kummarhati on NH-5 but the highway have to shut down by this afternoon police officer informed.
