Police seize huge catchy of Opium poppy
Himachal Pradesh police arrested Ludhiana-based based smugglers while carrying a huge quantity of Opium poppy under the Poantashaib police station on Thursday.
DSP Manvendra Singh said that a drug peddler was nabbed by the police, from whom 105 grams of opium and 31 kg of opium buds( ripen fruits) have been recovered from his possession.
The accused identified as Bhupendra Singh’s son Harinder Singh (52), housing as a resident of Paonta Sahib for a long time, he was involved in large-scale drug smuggling and selling of material.
On the basis of secret information, the police arrested this person with a huge quantity of drugs by laying a trap. According to the information, the accused used to smuggle only opium dode, bhikku, and opium but also used to deliver the material to drug addicts, etc. at their homes. At present, it is a big success for the police that the police have arrested a big smuggler while taking action.
He said that especially drug peddlers will not be tolerated at any cost. Drug peddlers are ruining the coming generation, no leniency will be shown to them. The case has been registered and sent for further action.
