On Dussehra, Thousands of people visited the temple of Jaishwari Mata

On Wednesday, about ten thousand people got blessings from Mata on the occasion of the Dussehra festival at Jaishwari Mata Temple Dharech Ghat. There is an ancient temple of Mata Nagarkoti in Dharech of Kasumpti constituency where a fair is organized every year on the occasion of the Dussehra festival. The most important thing is that there are no other activities at this fair except the darshan of the goddess. People from remote areas like Ratesh, Fagu, Keonthal, Theog, and Dharech come to the temple to offer their prayers, especially people who come to get their young children shaved. According to Mata’s Bajir Shiv Ram Sharma, Jaishwari Nagarkoti Mata is a very direct goddess and fulfills the wishes of her devotees. The Goddess definitely fills the empty lap of childless couples. He said that according to tradition, every year on Durga Ashtami of Sharad Navratri, Jaishwari Mata Dharech arrives at the ancient temple located at the ghat i.e. Maund along with the ancient musical instruments of drums, drums, and Shehnai, where Mata remains to give darshan to the devotees till Chaudash Tithi. She remains seated and goes back to her temple in Dharach on Sharad Purnima. During this time, people come from far and wide to the temple and offer their prayers.
Bajir Shiv Ram Sharma said that in the past there used to be a practice of sacrifice in this temple which was stopped by the temple committee many years ago. The biggest fair is held on Ekadashi, the second day of Dussehra. In which people gather in large numbers to have the darshan of the Mother Goddess. In this temple, grains of rice are given as Prasad, which people keep in their homes so that no negative power enters the house. He told that langar is organized by the committee in the temple for eight days. In which ten quintals of rice is consumed on the occasion of Ekadashi, that is, about ten thousand people come to see the mother.
