Jairam, BJP leaders have become addicted to lying: Sukhu

 Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu campaigned in favour of Congress party candidate and his wife Kamlesh Thakur in Dhar, Bhatehad, Masroor, Dhangar, Bilaspur, Sakri, Lower Suneht, Suneht, Dayal, Dhajag and Haar in Dehra assembly constituency and participated in street meetings. Attacking the BJP, the Chief Minister said that Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and other BJP leaders have become addicted to lying. Jairam Thakur is daydreaming but BJP is not going to come to power by lying. He said that earlier Jairam Thakur kept claiming that BJP government will be formed in Himachal Pradesh on June 4, but his statement has been proved false and now he is making a mockery of himself among the public by giving new dates for the formation of BJP government. The Chief Minister said that former MLA Hoshiar Singh should tell the people of Dehra why he resigned from the post of MLA and why is he contesting the by-election to become MLA again. He said that BJP leaders and Hoshiar Singh have imposed this by-election on the public. He said that Congress has 38 MLAs in the Assembly and BJP is not going to come to power under any circumstances. He said that Hoshiar Singh has sent his MLA post to BJP and has resigned from the post of MLA under pressure. He said that the former MLA was only concerned about his hotels and resorts and never came to him with public work.

Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that it is the fate of Dehra that Hoshiar Singh resigned from the post of MLA and now the Congress party has fielded his wife from here. He said that under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, about one thousand women under Dehra assembly constituency have received two installments of pension of fifteen hundred rupees per month and the work of verification of the remaining forms is going on. After the verification is complete, eligible women will be given Rs 1500 per month as pension in their accounts. He said that no shortage will be allowed in the development of Dehra and ample money will be made available to provide road, electricity and water facilities to the people here.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has launched several schemes to strengthen the economy of villages in the last one and a half years. He said that wheat produced through natural farming will be purchased at the rate of Rs 40 per kg and maize at Rs 30 per kg. Along with this, cow milk is being purchased at the rate of Rs 45 per liter and buffalo milk at the rate of Rs 55 per liter. He said that a milk processing unit is being set up at Dhagwar in Kangra district at a cost of Rs 250 crore, so that by purchasing milk from farmers, their economy can be strengthened. He said that a Pepsi factory is being set up in Indora at a cost of Rs 300 crore, where people will get employment. Apart from this, an international level zoo is being constructed in Dohra assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 650 crore, in which 2 thousand people will get employment opportunities. Also, the state government has allocated Rs 100 crore to start water sports in Pong Dam. He said that the state government is providing free treatment facility up to Rs 25 lakh to the elderly above 70 years of age. He said that despite not getting any help from the BJP, the state government has rehabilitated 22 thousand families affected by last year’s disaster and has made a historic increase in the compensation amount for them.

The Chief Minister said that the compensation amount for the damage to completely damaged houses has been increased to Rs 7 lakh and the state government has provided the first installment of Rs 3 lakh each for the rehabilitation of 21 houses in Dhar Panchayat. He said that along with immediate relief of Rs 5,000 each, Rs 65,000 each has also been provided for the repair of 27 partially damaged houses. He said that the state government has distributed Rs 16.45 lakh as compensation to 17 disaster-affected families in Dhangad Gram Panchayat. Along with this, 32 houses were completely damaged in Haripur, for which Rs 96 lakh has been given as the first installment of Rs 3 lakh each. At the same time, the state government has released about Rs 98 lakh for the repair of 104 partially damaged houses. Dhar Gram Panchayat head Indira joined the Congress party, expressing faith in the policies of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
