Vinod Zinta Slams Centre Over Exam Leaks, Calls Government “Anti-Youth”
State Organization General Secretary Vinod Zinta launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Central Government, labeling it the “Paper Leak Government.” He said that during its 12 years in power, several crucial examinations like UGC and NEET have been marred by leaks, putting the future of the country’s youth at risk. Calling the issue extremely serious, he stressed that such negligence cannot be accepted at any level.
Speaking informally with the media, Zinta described the Modi government’s 12-year tenure as deeply disappointing. He dismissed the BJP’s claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure would surpass that of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, calling it “baseless and absurd.” He pointed out that Nehru’s contribution to nation-building after independence remains visible even today, whereas, according to him, the current government has seen rising unemployment, inflation, and a weakening economy. He also expressed concern over what he described as a decline in India’s global credibility during this period.
Zinta further criticized Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, accusing the Centre of discriminating against the state by reducing funds for various central schemes. He claimed that the state is yet to receive the ₹1500 crore special disaster relief package announced by the Prime Minister. Additionally, he said the discontinuation of RDG (Revenue Deficit Grant) has caused further financial strain, terming it a serious injustice to the state.
Highlighting the state government’s efforts, Zinta said the Congress-led administration has adopted an employee-friendly approach. He praised the decision to restore the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), calling it a historic step in the interest of government employees. At the same time, he accused the BJP of opposing OPS while now trying to win over employees for political gain. He pointed out the contradiction between Jairam Thakur’s support for OPS at the state level and Union Minister Nadda’s advocacy for the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS).
Zinta also alleged that the Centre has withheld pension contributions meant for state employees, adding to their concerns. He urged government employees across the state to carefully assess the BJP’s intentions and not be misled. Calling for unity, he appealed to them to stand together and oppose what he described as the BJP’s “misleading tactics” at every level.
