Vikramaditya Singh Says UK Honour Belongs to Every Himachali
Vikramaditya Singh has been honoured with a Certificate of Excellence by Lord Rami Ranger, a member of the UK’s House of Lords — an achievement he says is far bigger than a personal milestone. For him, the recognition is a reminder that someone from Himachal Pradesh can proudly take the state’s name to the world stage.
Calling the award a tribute to “the sacred soil of Himachal Pradesh,” Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported him along the way. He dedicated the honour to the people of the Shimla-Rural constituency, party workers, supporters, and the teachers and mentors who guided him throughout his journey.
Singh said the recognition has only strengthened his commitment to public service. He reaffirmed his focus on Himachal’s development, its youth, its cultural heritage, and the everyday hopes of its people. To him, the award belongs to every Himachali, and representing the hill state internationally has been one of the proudest moments of his public life.
This honour from the World Book of Records marks a significant milestone for the Public Works Department Minister. The ceremony, held at the historic House of Lords in the British Parliament, added to the moment’s prestige. Singh travelled to London with his wife and mother to receive the award — a proud occasion for both his family and the state of Himachal Pradesh.
