People are accepting the pro-people policies of the Chief Minister: Baldev Thakur
Former Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee and Director of State Bus Stand Authority Baldev Thakur said in a press statement issued today that the huge crowd gathering in the programs of the Chief Minister is a proof of the fact that the people of Himachal are wholeheartedly supporting the schemes that the Honorable Chief Minister is bringing to the ground for the bright future of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Baldev Thakur said that instead of raising issues of public interest, the opposition in the state is trying to gain false applause by feeding lies to the public and every leader of BJP is busy declaring himself as the future Chief Minister. Whereas the way the state is battling the disaster at present, the opposition should have stood shoulder to shoulder with the present government and demanded a special relief package for the state from the Central Government, whereas on the contrary, its Leader of Opposition Jairam and other BJP leaders keep creating hurdles in the relief amount to be given to Himachal by the Central Government.
Baldev Thakur said that the present Chief Minister has shown himself to be a people-friendly Chief Minister by distributing relief amount of about Rs. 81.28 crore to the disaster affected people in Mandi district, which no leader in the entire country has been able to do after independence. Because the initiative taken by Chief Minister Sukhu to help the affected poor in adverse economic conditions is not being liked by the BJP, that is why all the MLAs except Anil Sharma did not even consider it appropriate to come to the program in Mandi, which is shameful. Baldev Thakur said that the present Central Government should send the amount of Rs. 15 thousand crore announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state as soon as possible so that the roads and other buildings etc. institutions damaged due to the disaster in the state can be repaired.
