Volunteers will be given information on various subjects in the NSS camp : Mahesh Sharma
A special seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp began at the Government Model Senior Secondary School, Junga. Thirty-one volunteers from the school are participating. Principal Mahesh Sharma inaugurated the camp by lighting a lamp. The volunteers made the program interesting by performing the NSS song, the Lakshya song, and the Saraswati Vandana.
Mahesh Sharma explained that the NSS is a platform that provides children with practical knowledge about social issues, along with education, ensuring their all-round development. He urged NSS volunteers to use the knowledge gained during this camp for social service in their villages.
Program officers Prem Sharma and Sangeeta Hansreta honored the chief guest with a memento. They briefed the volunteers on the aims and objectives of the NSS. They further explained that the village adjacent to the school, Meenh Village, has been adopted, where volunteers cleaned the Shiva Temple stepwell. Additionally, the camp will include a tour of the Forensic Science Lab and information about cybercrime. A cleanliness drive will also be conducted on the school campus, and new topics will be taught to the children each day.
