Women took out a rally in Dhali Bagda to stop the illegal liquor trade
Women of Ward Dhali Bagda of Peeran Panchayat, the last Panchayat of Mashobra Block, have opened a front against those involved in illegal liquor trade. Carrying banners in their hands, women raised slogans and expressed their anger demanding closure of illegal liquor shops in Peeran Panchayat and demanded the government to close the liquor shops running illegally in the Panchayat. Women of Mahila Mandal and self-help groups said that illegal liquor business is flourishing in Peeran Panchayat, due to which the future of the youth has become bleak. Apart from this, many houses have reached the verge of ruin due to alcohol and women are feeling scared to walk alone after evening.
On this occasion, the Pradhan of Peeran Panchayat, Kiran Sharma, said that she had complained several times to the police station Junga but no action has been taken by the police till date. The Pradhan assured the women that this serious problem will be taken up with the senior police officials so that the illegal trade of liquor can be curbed.
Before this, the women strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Pahalgam by Pakistan and raised slogans of ‘Down with Pakistan’. All the women praised the bravery, courage and valour of the Indian Army soldiers and said that the Indian Army had defeated the Pakistani Army and terrorists in three days under Operation Sindoor.
In this program, women from Mahila Mandal Dhali Bagda including Kanta Devi, Sunita Rana, Poonam Thakur, Priya Devi, Anu, Asha, Shitala, Sunita, Geeta, Sarju Devi, Kanta Devi, Santosh, Premlata along with other women’s groups and self-help groups participated.
