Workshops on ‘Safe Internet Day’ organised

To mark Safer Internet Day, the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Himachal Pradesh organized an awareness session at the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat to raise awareness and promote safe & responsible use of the internet on the theme ‘Smart-tech, safe-choices: Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI,’ emphasizing on the importance of adopting safe, ethical and informed digital practices.

There were more than 100 participants including officers and officials of various branches of the State Secretariat. The main focus was upon enhancing cyber awareness and responsible use of digital platforms in government functioning covering key aspects such as cyber hygiene, safe browsing practices, protection of personal and official data and awareness regarding common cyber threats.

All the NIC district centres and its offices also conducted similar awareness sessions in their to further disseminate the message of safe internet practices at the grassroots level.
