Women’s group Neen Kanog demanded the hanging of Sia’s murderer

The Women’s Association of Neen Kanog organized a protest rally in Koti on Tuesday to protest the brutal murder of a college student in Gopalpur, Sarkaghat. The women raised slogans and demanded the death penalty for the killer of Siya. Women’s Association President Hemavati and Secretary Anju Kumari stated that the brutal murder of innocent college student Siya by a drunken killer has left parents afraid to send their children out. They stated that the tragic incident has shaken everyone, and women in the state are feeling unsafe. They stated that the daily incidents of crime against women have created a dire situation. They stated that the scourge of various types of drugs has spread to every village, making it difficult for women to travel alone. The Mahila Mandal has demanded from the government that strict steps should be taken to curb the increasing crimes against women so that women can live their lives with respect and fear in the society.
