Water Supply to Shimla disrupted, Administration urged residents to save water

Shimla Jal Parbandhan Nigam Limited informed that due to floods in all water sources of the lifting water supply scheme pumping is completely stopped.

Issuing an advisory to the general public SJPNL cautioned residents that water distribution would be disrupted in town till supply couldn’t be resumed to normal level.

People are requested to use rainwater for hygiene purposes and water in their tanks to be used only for drinking purposes only.

Regretting the inconvenience caused to its consumers Corporation sought cooperation till a flood-like situation prevailed.

The town normally required 65 to 70 cusec water to meet the supply daily in the town.
