Vocational education tips were given to children in Junga School by Seema Gupta

Courtesy of the Regional Employment Office, Shimla, a camp on vocational guidance and career counseling was organized at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Junga. About two hundred children in the school participated. The camp was presided over by Regional Employment Officer Shimla Seema Gupta.
In her address, Seema Gupta said that in the present context, vocational education is proving to be a boon for the unemployed youth, as the means of employment in the government sector are very limited. He requested the children to register their names in the employment office. It was informed that the state government has constituted Hipr Kaushal Vikas Nigam for unemployed youth, through which free vocational training is given to unemployed youth and loans are also given liberally to start their own business.
On this occasion, Young Professional Aarti Thakur gave detailed information to the children about job career opportunities after class 12th. He also told me about the short-term courses being run by the HP Skill Development Corporation. He told that children must do vocational courses according to their interests so that they can start their own self-employment. Told that the youth of the age group of 16 years and above can apply for the skill development allowance. To take advantage of this, the name of the candidate should be registered in the employment office and the income of the family should not exceed 2 lakhs. Such candidates are also given a monthly allowance of one thousand rupees during technical training.
School Principal Suman Chandel thanked Seema Gupta for organizing vocational guidance and career counseling camp on the school premises. He informed me that two vocational courses on tourism and physical security are being run at Junga School.
