Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur campaigned vigorously on Friday as well. The daughter of Dehra will now take full care of her parents’ house along with her in-laws’ house. After becoming an MLA, I will go to every village and solve people’s problems. I will also hold meetings at the ward level to know about people’s problems. In street meetings, people are telling about their villages. I am getting immense love and support from the public.
Kamlesh said that development work has been hampered due to the imposition of by-elections by BJP and former independent MLA. Somebody had to join, somebody had to be promoted, but everything got stuck due to the election code of conduct. When BJP leaders and former independent MLAs come to seek votes, the public must ask them that when they had to contest the MLA election again, then why did they resign, why did they put the burden of by-elections on the public. Now that the by-elections are being held, I promise the public that I will compensate for the 15 months of neglect the former MLA has done to the area in 6 months. She said that the people of Dehra should not make any mistake. The MLA who was elected 16 months ago betrayed the people for his personal interest. What was the compulsion that an independent MLA is resigning and contesting the MLA election again. This will be the first time not only in Himachal but in the history of the country. Now you have a golden opportunity, Parauna is the Chief Minister and Dhyan will be the MLA. There will be no lack of development in the area. Honest workers of BJP are understanding this. A large number of BJP workers are joining Congress. On Friday, many BJP workers joined Congress in Tripal.
