Pressure is being exerted from Delhi to stop women’s pension of Rs 1500: Chandrashekhar

Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Working President and MLA Chandrashekhar has said that Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur is repeatedly challenging the power of the people from public forums. He said that Jai Ram Thakur and BJP leaders are talking about toppling the democratically elected Congress government on June 4, which is an insult to public opinion. He said that due to the arrogance of their money power, BJP leaders do not even understand the power of the people. He said that the people of the state have given the mandate to Congress to form the government for a full five years but the BJP is bent upon insulting the mandate. He said that whatever conspiracies the BJP may do, the present Congress government will definitely complete its five-year term.
Working President of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee said that Jai Ram Thakur first challenged the employees and said that they will get pension only if they contest the elections, but Congress provided the old pension to the employees in the very first cabinet after the formation of the government. He said that BJP leaders are now talking about giving old pension to the employees to mislead, whereas the old pension was abolished as soon as the BJP government was formed in Rajasthan. He said that BJP leaders should explain why the pension of government employees was stopped in Rajasthan?
Chandrashekhar said that throughout the year, BJP leaders kept asking questions about giving pension of Rs 1500 to women, but when the Congress government started the scheme of giving Rs 1500 per month to women, they repeatedly approached the Election Commission to stop it. He said that Himachal BJP leaders are creating obstacles in the pension for women by putting pressure on the Election Commission from Delhi. He said that in the month of June, women will be provided Rs 3000 for two months together. He said that the women of the state are not going to forgive BJP and have decided to teach them a lesson on June 1. He said that the voters of the state will give all the four Lok Sabha seats and all the six assembly by-election seats to the Congress and then the ground will slip from under the feet of the BJP leaders.
