Nanda targets Congress on Shiromani Ravidas Jayanti
BJP state media in-charge Karan Nanda participated in a program organized on the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti at Guga Maadi.
He said that we pay our respects to the great poet and saint of saint tradition, Shiromani Ravidas ji, on his birth anniversary. Saint Ravidas ji made remarkable efforts to unite the country by rising above caste and religion. Ravidas ji believed that work is the greatest religion and we should work selflessly. By imbibing the principles of Sant Ravidas ji, the BJP government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is moving forward with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’.
Nanda said that during the mismanagement rule of Congress, they had said that as soon as they came to power, they would provide 1 lakh jobs in the first cabinet and 5 lakh jobs in 5 years. Now the reality is that there are 7,44,771 registered unemployed in the employment offices of Himachal Pradesh. Even in terms of employment, Himachal Pradesh is ahead of neighboring states Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and all of India level. Himachal is at 61.3, Uttarakhand at 42.5, Punjab at 42.3, Haryana at 36.3, and the all-India level is at 42.4 percent. Looking at these figures the state is far ahead. According to government data, the highest number of registered unemployed in the state is in Kangra district, where there are 1,57,405 registered unemployed. District Mandi is in second place with a figure of 1,47,524. Similarly, 53,104 in district Bilaspur, 58,925 in Chamba, 57,547 in Hamirpur, 6869 in Kinnaur, 38,888 in Kullu, 5013 in Lahaul-Spiti, 64,318 in Shimla, 55,637 in Sirmaur, 55,637 in Sirmaur, 46,456 in Solan and 53,085.
