Mundu School Dominates U-14 Category with 13 Gold Medals

Players from Government High School, Mundu, have performed brilliantly in various district-level sports competitions, winning a total of 13 gold medals. The school’s players proved their athletic prowess by winning eight gold medals in Kurash, three in wrestling, and two in Judo. Upon arrival, the players were warmly welcomed by the staff, SMC, and children with garlands.
Physical education teacher Amar Singh Verma said that the school’s girls performed exceptionally well in judo and wrestling at the recent Under-14 district-level sports competition held in Sunni. Neha, a ninth-grade student, and Ritika, a seventh-grade student, performed exceptionally well in judo, winning a gold medal each.
Mundu School athletes also dominated the wrestling competition. Kiran from Class 9, Neha from Class 9, and Isha from Class 8 excelled in their respective competitions, winning three gold medals for the school.
Earlier, Mundu Pathshala’s athletes had performed brilliantly at the district-level Kurash competition. The boys and girls brought glory to the school by winning eight gold medals in various categories. With their consistently strong performances, the school’s athletes have strengthened their position for the upcoming state-level competitions.
The school’s acting principal, Ishwari Dutt, congratulated all the winning athletes and praised their hard work, dedication, and discipline. He said the school will continue to provide every possible encouragement and support to students to excel in sports alongside their studies.
Amar Singh Verma also praised the athletes’ performance and wished them well for the upcoming competitions. The school’s teachers, parents, and the entire school family congratulated the athletes on their achievement of 13 gold medals.
