More than 28 thousand government jobs released in one and a half years, recruitment process started: Sukhu
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu campaigned at many places under Dehra assembly constituency on Friday. The Chief Minister said that the current Congress government has released more than 28000 government jobs in its tenure of about one and a half years, the recruitment process of which has started. These include 5291 posts of teachers in the Education Department, ten thousand posts in various categories in the Water Power Department, 2061 posts of Van Mitras in the Forest Department, 1450 posts in various categories in the Health Department, 874 posts of Patwaris, 1226 posts of Police Constables.
He said that Jairam Thakur had released only 20000 jobs in the government sector during his five-year tenure, most of which were stuck in legal complications. He said that the state government has provided 30 percent reservation to women in police recruitment and has given one year relaxation in maximum age to all candidates. He said that the Cabinet meeting has given the green signal to the recruitment of 6297 early care and education tutors to start a comprehensive early childhood care and education program under the National Education Policy-2020. He said that in the coming time, more jobs will be released in the government sector and merit and transparency will be ensured in recruitments.
The Chief Minister said that during the last five years of BJP’s tenure, there has been a big decline in the field of education and in terms of quality education, Himachal Pradesh has reached 18th place in the country. He said that the present Congress government is making efforts to improve the level of education in the state and many steps are being taken to increase the basic facilities in schools. He said that to provide better education to the students in rural areas, the state government is opening Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools in a phased manner, where the all-round development of the students will be ensured.
Attacking former MLA Hoshiar Singh, the Chief Minister said that no one resigns from his MLA post just like that. He said that due to arrogance and greed for money, Hoshiar Singh has sold his MLA post by trading public sentiments. Hoshiar Singh’s intellect was corrupted due to the influence of money, but this will be a boon for the rise of Dehra. He said that it is good that the independent MLA resigned from his post and now there will be a lot of development in Dehra, which has already started. The Superintendent of Police office and SE (Public Works Department) office will also be opened in Dehra, the notification of which will be issued after the elections.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that since coming to power, the Congress government has made efforts to stop the plunder of the state’s resources and has earned additional revenue of Rs 2200 crore in just one year. He said that under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Scheme, the state is providing pension of Rs 1500 per month to eligible women above 18 years of age and so far Rs 4500 have been distributed in three installments under this scheme. He said that under the Dr. YS Parmar Vidyarthi Loan Scheme, the state government is providing a loan of Rs 20 lakh to poor students at the rate of one percent interest for higher education. Apart from this, the Chief Minister Sukhashraya Scheme has been started for the care and education of orphan children and adopted as Children of the State. He said that the state government is also bearing the expenses of higher education of children of widowed women up to the age of 27 years. Cow milk is being purchased at the rate of Rs 45 and buffalo milk at the rate of Rs 55 per litre and wheat produced through natural farming will be purchased at the rate of Rs 40 and maize at the rate of Rs 30 per kg.
