Minor tremor jolts parts of Kangra district

A minor tremor measured 3 on the Richter scale, jolted parts of Kangra, 33 km West from district headquarters Dharmshala in Himachal Pradesh this afternoon, the Indian Meteorological Department confirmed. Earth quake was felt at 1402 hrs on Thursday  in parts of Kangra district.  The magnitude of Earthquake was 3 n the Richter scale and epicenter was located at 32.24 degrees North , 75.96 degrees East and 5 km depth at Mandol  near Raja-Ka– Talab of Kangra district about 171 km from State capital Shimla. Earthquake was slightly felt by the people but did not cause any loss to life and property.
