Boileauganj  Crossing to Boileauganj  Chowk traffic restored

The road from Boileauganj crossing to Boileauganj  Chowk is now open for traffic. District Commissioner Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, has authorized vehicle movement on this route under Sections 115 and 117 of the Vehicle Act 1988.

Anupam Kashyap announced that the Joint Inspection Committee conducted an inspection on Monday. The committee, which included the Deputy Board Officer Shimla Urban, DCP Traffic, Executive Engineer Public Works Department Dhami, and Regional Manager HRTC, reviewed the situation. Following their report, all types of vehicles are now permitted on this route.

Deputy Commissioner Kashyap also mentioned that the maximum speed limit for vehicles on this route is set at 25 km/h. A new bus stop for buses heading towards Boileauganj has been established near the CMP post, while another bus stop for buses coming from Boileauganj to the old bus stand is located near the CGST Shimla Mandal office. Vehicles will use a new downward route to Boileauganj, while the old route will be used for travel to Shimla.

The route had been closed due to a landslide in recent days. Despite facing numerous challenges due to bad weather, the Public Works Department team worked diligently to restore the road.
