Landslide disrupt vehicular traffic on Hindustant Tibent NH

A massive landslide occurred near Theog on the Hindustan Tibet National highway no-5 early today disrupting the vehicular traffic between tourist resort Narkanda and Theog to Shimla , district administration said in a press release.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Mr Aditya Negi said that  NH-5 blocked by a landslide occurred in the early hours of after 00 hrs on Tuesday which would take four to five hours to clear the road .
He said that that alternate routes for Light motor vehicles and two  wheelers have been opened on the highway however heavy vehicles are stranded from Shimla side between Sarion-Halai-Sandhuand from Narkanda side between Sandhu-Jadeog-Devimor.
Vehicular traffic was opened via Chikkar between Sandhu and Devimarand  entire traffic on the NH-5 was also being played or diverted from Dhalli via Basantapur Kingal road.
The cause of landslide is not confirmed but the landslide prone areas have blocked the road second time in last two week, he added.
