Kashish awarded best girl and Abhishek the best boy at Junga NSS volunteer camp
The NSS camp which was going on for the last seven days in Government Senior Secondary School Junga concluded on Monday. In which Kashish was awarded as the best girl and Abhishek Dhiman as the best boy NSS volunteer. Ayurvedic Medical Officer Dr. Vivek Jairath participated as the chief guest in the closing ceremony. On this occasion, the NSS volunteers made the program more special by presenting patriotic songs including Vande Mataram. The main attraction of the ceremony was Pahadi Naati in which all the people present in the auditorium danced.
In his address, Dr Jairath said that the National Service Scheme is proving to be effective in the all-round development of students. Through this scheme, a sense of national unity and integrity and social service is inculcated in the children. He appealed to the volunteers to stay away from drugs and said that the message of de-addiction should be spread to every household.
Programme Officer Ramlal Lodhata and Maina Chauhan welcomed the chief guest and gave detailed information about the work done by the volunteers during the camp. They told that in the last seven days, the volunteers donated their labour in the school premises, Civil Hospital Junga and the adopted village Kyana and made people aware about cleanliness. During the academic session, Assistant Director of Forensic Science Junga Dr. Aparna Sharma, Monika Pawanr from Commandant Office Junga and ASI Kuldeep Kanwar gave important information on drug abuse and cyber crime. School Principal Suman Chandel Verma honoured Programme Officer Ramlal Lodhata by presenting him a memento for his excellent work in the NSS Unit Junga for the last five years. He praised the Programme Officer and the volunteers for the successful organisation of the NSS camp. All the teachers and non-teaching SMC members of the school were present in this programme.
