Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Board goes fully online

 The state government is moving towards realizing former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s vision of ‘Digital India’. As per the directions of the Government, maximum use of information technology is being ensured in all the departments. Taking forward this initiative of the state government, the Himachal Pradesh Board of Technical Education has made its various services like Admission, registration, and counseling process online.

Not only it has proved beneficial to the students of polytechnic institutes, pharmacies, and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) located in the state but they can now fill out their examination and revaluation forms, fees, etc online through web-based modules. The authorities can also upload the practical and other session awards to the students of government and private polytechnic institutes. Even the migration certificate has also been made online by the board.

The process of issuing affiliation to all government and private polytechnic institutions has also been made online by the Board.

Due to the initiative of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the government is committed to bringing qualitative changes in technical education as well as starting employment-oriented courses. Many value-added courses are being started from the year 2023-24. These include courses like Robotics, Block-Chain Technology, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Apart from this, courses for Electric Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance Mechanics, Solar Technicians, Drone Technicians, Mechatronics, etc. are being started in 13 industrial training institutes of the state.

The need of the hour is to provide education and training based on cutting-edge technology to equip the youth to face the global challenges of the digital world as believes Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.  The state government is taking concrete and meaningful steps in this direction and is moving forward contributing and harnessing the energy of the youth in the right direction for the development of the state.
