Himachal Kisan Congress thanked Sukhu Govt for solving the problems and long pending demands of farmers and gardeners

Himachal Pradesh Kisan Congress has expressed gratitude to the State Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and the State Government for solving the problems of farmers and gardeners and resolving their long pending demands.

Kisan Congress spokesperson Ravindra Singh Kanwar said in a statement issued after the meeting held under the chairmanship of State Kisan Congress President Sohan Verma at Rajiv Bhawan Shimla today that farmers and gardeners of the state have been demanding for a long time to restore subsidy on agricultural equipment and medicines, to sell apples on per kg basis. He said that by implementing these demands, the state government has taken a commendable decision in the interest of farmers and horticulturists.

Ravindra Singh Kanwar said that the decision of the state government to make HPMC a partner in Apple procurement is commendable. He said that this will increase the competition in the market and at the same time, the gardeners will also get good prices for their crops. He said that the State Kisan Congress was demanding this for a long time.

The Kisan Congress spokesperson said that the state government has done a commendable job of providing all possible help to the affected by increasing the relief amount several times to make up for the damage caused by natural calamities, for which the Kisan Congress expresses gratitude to the Chief Minister. He said that in order to provide relief to the people in natural calamities, the state government has also taken a commendable decision to provide relief amount of up to one lakh rupees to the affected people under MNREGA, which would benefit thousands of families in the state. He said that the state government has started work on a war footing to open main roads and link roads in the flood-affected areas, which is a commendable step. Ravindra Kanwar said that Himachal Pradesh Kisan Congress expresses gratitude to the state government for implementing all these decisions. A state spokesperson said that Himachal Pradesh Kisan Congress had raised all these issues before the state government.
