Himachal High Court takes cognizance on the complaints against state DGP

In Important Development in the state Himachal Pradesh High court on it own motion took suo moto coginzance on the complaints filed by Palampur Businessman against State Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu on Friday.

Division bench of Chief Justice M.S. Ramchandra Rao and Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua issued notice to State of Himachal Pradesh impleading Secretary Home, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police Kangra and Shimla respondent in the matter.

The Court took notice on the complaint submitted to Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao by Businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma of Palampur.

On Nov 5 a FIR was lodged at police station Shimla against the businessmen which was also rebuttal latter by filling volley of complaint in the matter to Prez and PM of India, Guv & CM, Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh and Secretary home.

High court today issued a notice to State to submit the status report before the court before next date of hearing on November 16 .

During the hearing on court motion on Friday notices were issued notice to Secretary Home, Deputy Commissioner Kanga and Shimla and Superintendent of Police l Kangra and Shimla to filed status report in the matter by next date of hearing as the court listed the case on November 16 for further hearing.

During the hearing Mr. Pranay Pratap Singh Additional Advocate General, accepts service of notice on behalf of the 

respondents. 

The Registrar General shall communicate this order to respondents no.2 and 3 today.

It is worthwhile to mention that controversy brew  after registration of a FIR registered against a businessman belonged to Palampur and Gurugram by the state Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu.

On Wednesday Chief Secretary Prabodh Sexsen also stated that state Criminal Investigation Department would make assessment if security cover should be extended to Businessman Nishant Sharma on his complaint.

The issue took sudden turn of chronology of a public feuds between the two as Businessman Nishant Kumar Sharma resident of Bundla tea estate Palampur of Kangra district addressed a press conference at Palampur and lodged complaint SP Kangra alleging inevitable threat to him and his family’s life and property.

The Complaint was made by Parshant Kumar Sharma on the this issue to SP Kangra on October 28 after alleged attempts by few goons at Bhagsunag in Meclodganj in Dharmshala. 

A mail was also been made to DGP Sanjay Kundu by Nishant Kumar Sharma after October 27 alleging that frantic calls was made by the state police to Businessman unlawfully and he was directed by the DGP to meet him at Shimla.

Allegations was made by the Businessmen that he was faced trail of assault in the state and Gurugram by goons in convince of two persons and with accomplice of DGP.
