High reaches of HP experiences snowfall in HP Downstreams lashed by the rainfall

The high reaches of Himachal Pradesh have been snowing since early this morning increasing thecoldwave in the state lashing downstream by widespread rainfall, the Met Office said.
The gateway to Lahaul Spiti, 13050 ft Rohtang Pass, Kunzum Pass, Baralacha, Lady of Keylong, Sapatrishi hillGoshal hills, Shikaridevi of Mandi, Dhauladhar ranges of Kangra, Sachpass, Manimehash, high reaches of Bharmour and Pangi in Chamba, Kinner Kailash of Kinnuar, High reaches of Dodra and Kawar of Shimlaalso received another major snowfall which continued.       
Met Office recorded 18 cm snow at Gondhla in Lahaul Spiti district, Hansa 10.3 cm and Keylong three cm.  Touristresort Dalhousie in Chamba had 77 mm rainfall, Kehri 57.2 mm, Una 53.4 mm, Bangana 45 mm, Bilaspur 45 mm, Ghamroor in Knagra 42.4 mm and Nagrota Surian 41 mm and Chamba 32 mm, Kangra 24.4 mm andDharmshala 16.4 mm.
The intermittent rain and snowfall also recorded in many other places of state increasing the coldwave in the state. District Administration Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnuar sounded alert to the local and tourists to not climbs in the high hillsand not venture near the water streams. 
The administration have asked the Hotelier, members of Panchayati Raj institutions and local self government to aware the local people and tourists and trekkers to not move out from their premises as the heavy rainfall may cause any natural disaster and snowbound the road and cause landslides. 
All the tourists stranded at Batal in Kaza valley have been evacuated safely by the administration on Saturday as 80 tourists
have been stranded in Kaza subdivision due to Oct 17 and 18 snowfall. With fresh and earlier snowfall two national highway and 35 link roads are snowbound.
The inclement weather along with heavy rain, snowfall and thunderstorm keeping the normal life out of gears as 37 roads( 35 linkand two NH) are snowbound and power supply disrupted due to heavy rain and thunderstorm 274 areas mostly in Laual Spitiand Chamba.
Deputy Commissioner Lahaul  Spiti Mr Neeraj Kumar said that Manali-Leh National highway no 3 is snowbound betweenDarcha to Sarchu and National Highway No 505 is blocked from Gramphu to Losar. Including two NH, around 27 linkroads are also snowbound including 12 in Lahaul and 15 in Udaipur. Power supply also disrupted by the snowfall in 21 distribution Transformer regions(DRT) in district.
Report coming from Chamba said that seven link roads are snowbound including  three in Salooni and two each in Tissa and Chamba sub-vision. The power supply is not working in 250 localities in Chamba district as 172 DTR are disrupted in Tissa , 50 in Bhattiyat and 28 in Chamba sub-vision. 
Minimum temperature plummet under subzero in Keylong of Lahaul Spiti recorded minus 0.7 degree Celsius, Kalpa in\Kinnuar 4.6 mm, Tourist resort Manali 7.5 degrees  Shimla, Kufri , Dalhousie and Palampur in Kangra was ten degreesChamba 10.9 degrees Solan and Jubbarhati in Shimla 12 degrees, Kangra 12.6 degrees, Sundernagar and Bhuntar 13 degrees , Hamirpur and Una 13.4 degrees each, ,Mandi 15.9 degrees, Nahan in Sirmaur 16 degrees. 
The Met Office issued yellow warning  for heavy rain, hailstorm, Lightening, thunderstorm and snowfall is isolated areas of Chamba, Lahaul Spiti, Kangra, Kullu, Hamirpur, Bilaspur Una, Mandi Solan, Shimla and Sirmour. Yellow warning may bring moderate rain, thunderstorm and lightning and hail storm in in Manali on Oct 25 and 26,Ani and Kaza tomorrow, Balh and Padhar in Mandi.

Yellow warning is also issued for Dodra-Kwar, Shimla-Urban, Shimla Rural, Shimla Rural and Theog, Kumarsein Kandaghat and Rampur.   
The Met Office forecast moderate to heavy rain fall and snowfall in many places in the state during next 24 hrs.
