Health Screening Camp for Tuberculosis Elimination Organized at Advanced Study
A special Mantoux Test health screening camp was organized on February 17, 2025, at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, for its employees. This camp was conducted under the Government of India’s 100-Day Campaign Initiative, aimed at promoting tuberculosis (TB) elimination.
The camp was conducted by a medical team led by Dr. Madhu Maitan (Medical Officer, PHC Annadale), Ms. Nitika Sharma (CHO, HWC, Gwahai), and Ms. Bhawna Kumari (CHO, HWC, Anderi). During the camp, all institute employees underwent TB screening and received necessary medical consultations.
Mr. Mehar Chand Negi, Secretary of IIAS, expressed his gratitude to the State Health Department team, stating that this initiative is a significant step toward prioritizing the health of institute employees and contributing to the TB elimination campaign. He also appreciated the efforts of all medical officers and staff involved in successfully organizing the event. The Resident Medical Officer, Dr. Meenu Agarwal, coordinated the program.
