HAS officers visited Himaira and enjoyed the mountain cuisine

HAS officers undergoing training at the Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration, Fairlawn, visited the Himaira Bhawan, run by the State Rural Livelihood Mission, in Naldehra on Tuesday. Products from all districts of the state are sold by CLF women. In addition, stalls displaying hill cuisine have also been set up at the Himaira Bhawan.
Administrative officials closely inspected the products manufactured in Himaira and, to encourage enterprising women, also purchased goods of interest. On this occasion, they also enjoyed a variety of mountain delicacies prepared by the women, including siddu, patande, malpuas, and more.
Welcoming the officials, Block Development Officer Mashobra, Ankit Kotiya, stated that 523 self-help groups, 47 village organizations, and three cluster-level organizations have been formed in this development block. Himaira is operated by Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas CLF. Previously, it was run by the women of this development block as a rural store. In 2024, the district administration arranged funds for the expansion of this building, resulting in a larger Himaira building being constructed so that more women could prepare and sell their products in this building.
He explained that products from all districts of Himachal Pradesh are currently being sold in this building under the Himaira brand. He explained that through SRLM, rural women have become self-reliant. He explained that the center’s products and mountain cuisine sell well, strengthening the women’s economies. As a result, 1,540 women from the Mashobra development block have become millionaires.
On this occasion, LSEA Mashobra Lalita Kumari, Mission Executive Vaishali Thakur, Area Coordinator Praveen Kumari, Bhumavati, Deepika, Pooja and Poonam were also present.
