HAS Association condemned the murderous attack on Mandi SDM Om Kant Thakur

Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Officers Association (HAS Association) condemned the murderous attack on Mandi SDM Shri Om Kant Thakur ji yesterday and demands the government to take immediate and unprecedented action. The spokesperson of the association said that all the officers of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service stand with Shri Om Kant Thakur ji. Such incidents in a peaceful state like Himachal Pradesh show the increasing influence of anti-social elements in the society. The spokesperson of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Officers Association said that the demand for giving PSO to the officers working in the field was raised repeatedly from various governments and all the previous governments made announcements as well as issued notifications to fulfill this demand, but even today the officers of the administrative services are fighting with these elements of the society without any personal security, due to which they have to risk their lives. This is not the first time such an incident has happened. Earlier too, many SDMs have been attacked by such unruly elements and despite this the government has not been able to take appropriate steps for the safety of the officers working in the field. Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Officers Association appeals to the government to appoint all SDMs, ADMs and ADCs in the state as PSOs so that they can not only deal with such unruly elements well but can also strengthen the law and order in the state.
