Govind Sagar Lake to offer thrill-seekers a new adventure: Parasailing set to launch in December
Bilaspur is all set to take a giant leap in tourism with the introduction of parasailing at the picturesque Govind Sagar Lake. Deputy Commissioner Aabid Hussain Sadiq announced that trial runs for this exciting water adventure activity will begin in the first week of December. A renowned Delhi-based company, already known for its operations in Tehri, has been roped in to conduct the two-month trial.

Govind Sagar Lake, already a favorite destination for tourists with its cruise rides and shikara boating, will now offer parasailing—a thrilling experience for adventure enthusiasts. This initiative aims to elevate Bilaspur’s reputation as a hub for water sports while providing visitors with a memorable experience amid the lake’s scenic beauty.
Safety First: Trial Phase Underway
The district administration has granted necessary approvals, and the company will bring parasailing boats to the lake in early December. During the trial phase, a technical committee will monitor safety standards and performance. Based on their report, the District Regulation Committee will decide on granting permanent operational permissions.
